About
Hi, I'm Kuba,
I make knives simply because I love making them. That’s the most important thing you need to know about me.
I started my career as a design engineer, which means that my knives are often first crafted in engineering software and technically analyzed before they are brought to life in steel.
When crafting a knife, I take on the role of a nerd, a craftsman, and an enthusiast of fine blades. In my “nerd” mode, I meticulously plan how the knife will be used, selecting the most optimal steel, hardness, and blade geometry based on charts and studies. In “craftsman” mode, I work with the steel, treating it with care to understand how it responds to shaping and grinding. Finally, in “enthusiast” mode, I test the knife to see how theoretical assumptions translate into real-world performance. And at the end, I often struggle with letting it go (though sometimes, I keep it for myself).
If you share a passion for knives, feel free to reach out or visit my workshop in the basement of a historic Lublin townhouse.
Who knows, we might just hit it off ;)
