Buying a knife
How are knives packaged?
All folding knives are packed in an elegant wooden box. Perfect for a gift. Throwing knives are packed in standard courier packages.
Do RUNES have a guarantee?
Yes, each knife is covered by a 2-year warranty, within which we will repair any damage that occurs during normal use. After that time, repairs are also possible for a nominal fee.
Can I see the knives live?
Yes, I invite you to Lublin at Krakowskie Przedmieście 41/16 after prior appointment.
Is a knife a good idea for a gift?
The best! This is one of the most useful everyday tools. Additionally, the gift recipient will definitely appreciate the highest quality materials and careful finishing.
Is it possible to return the knife?
You don't risk anything this way, because any off-the-shelf knife without additional modifications or engravings can be returned within 14 days. It is important that it is intact. It is not possible to return a custom-made knife.

Do RUNES need to be sharpened?
RUNY folders are made of the newest and most advanced alloy steel grades, thanks to which the knives stay sharp for a long time. However, every knife, regardless of quality, will sooner or later need to be sharpened to restore its razor sharpness.
How to sharpen RUNY folding knives
RUNY folders are made of hard steel containing hard-wearing carbides. For this reason, they are easiest to sharpen with a diamond sharpener. To maintain the sharpening angle, it is worth using a sharpening system. RUNY is sharpened at an angle of 20 degrees per side.
How to care for a knife?
The most important thing is to avoid contact of the knife with very hard materials such as ceramics, glass, stones, etc. Additionally, in the case of folding knives, it is important to avoid strong blows or throwing the knife. There is a whole series of throwing knives for this :) It is also worth cleaning knives regularly, especially from chemically aggressive substances.
How to Throw a Knife
Throwing knives balanced on the handle are perfect for no-spin and half-spin techniques. Knives balanced in the middle, especially heavy ones, are good for throwing with the military half-spin technique. These are suggestions based on my experience and preferences. The most important thing is to practice your knife throwing technique. The basis is training, training and more training ;) Remember to throw throwing knives, not folders!
Is carrying a knife legal in Poland?
Yes, the Weapons and Ammunition Act does not define a knife as a bladed weapon, but the legality of having a knife in a public place is specified in Article 50a of the Code of Offences. In short, you can carry it, but it is important not to use it in a way that indicates the intention to commit a crime. Do not carry it at mass events or when traveling with a group of fans :)
What is the maximum blade length of a worn knife in Poland?
There is no such limit. There is a popular myth that in Poland you can carry a knife with a blade length of up to 10 cm. However, this is not true and no regulation specifies the permissible length.

What steel are the knives made of?
In folders we use high-alloy tool steels, most often modern stainless powder steels hardened to high hardness. In throwing knives, where impact strength is the most important, we use carbon and stainless spring steels hardened at the most optimal point between hardness and impact strength. Are throwing knives sharp?
The best throwing knives do not have a sharpened cutting edge, but only a pointed tip that penetrates the target well. This ensures safety for both the thrower's hand and the knife itself, as the cutting edge is a weak spot that is susceptible to damage in collisions.
